The application process to live at Wesley is pretty simple. Just click the appropriate download link below and follow the prompts. Because not everyone is equally comfortable with web applications, detailed instructions follow:
- Click on the link below for the appropriate application. The application for the academic year is separate from the application for the May and Summer Terms. The Academic Year application is an eight month contract covering the academic year from late August through April. The May and Summer application is a month to month contract for the May, Summer I, and Summer II terms.
- The application link will open a new browser window at https://acrobat.com. At the center of that browser window will be a download link for the actual application file. Click that "download" link and the file will be downloaded to your computer. (Note that this download is from a secure server at Adobe.com, so, depending on the security settings on your computer and/or browser--if prompted--it is OK to accept connections to this server.)
- The application file is an Adobe .pdf file. You will need the latest version of Adobe Reader (version 9) to successfully submit the application. Do not attempt to submit the application using a third party, non-Adobe, program. It will not be properly processed. Adobe Reader is a free application that takes only a couple of minutes to install. Install the latest version of Adobe Reader here.
If prompted, be sure and save the downloaded file your computer. Problems can result from the online tracker that tracks submissions if the file is opened without first saving it to your computer.
- Open the downloaded file with Adobe Reader.
- Fill out the application form. Fill out all sections paying special attention to the essay questions on page three. These essays do not have to be lengthy. A couple of well written paragraphs will suffice. One or two pithy sentences, however, will not suffice and will be considered an incomplete and--more importantly--an insincere application.
- When finished, sign the application by typing your name at the end and entering your JSU student ID. If you are an entering Freshman and do not yet have a JSU ID number, simply type "Freshman" in that box. As the application states, by typing your name and submitting the form you are agreeing to abide by the terms set forth in the application.
- Submit the application by clicking the "Submit Form" button on the top right of the first page. You should see a confirmation message stating that the form was successfully submitted. Note that the form is encrypted during transmission to a secure server, so the data you enter is safe from prying eyes.
- That's it! It's simpler than it might sound reading this. To ensure that your application was successfully received, you will receive a confirmation email with 24-48 hours. If you haven't received a confirmation email by that time, please contact us using the "Contact Us" link.
